London is famously one of the most congested cities in the world. So, finding a space for all those cars is a challenge for any architect working in London. In Rathbone Square near bustling Oxford Street, the fully automatic parking system MasterVario R3L by Klaus solves this problem. Klaus UK worked with Lendlease and architects MAKE on this extraordinary building complex featuring both high-end owner-occupied apartments and commercial spaces. With 79 car spaces including charging stations for electric vehicles, it is one of the biggest car parking systems of its kind in the UK. Two entry and exit cabins ensure fast access times. Plus, the system is large enough to hold small transport Sprinter class and light commercial vehicles of the Sprinter class. Exiting is smooth and seamless thanks to the integrated turning table too. The result is a compact and efficient parking solution that maximises space efficiency of the entire building.
